Why do I need an SEO module for WHMCS?

WHMCS was developed as a platform for the distribution of digital products such as web hosting, domain and licenses. Unfortunately, the correct URL structure and corresponding META data for search engines such as Google & Co. were not thought of. At least not yet. Only where the URL rewrites are used are announcements, knowledge base and downloads. For the products, we only see the unsightly GET parameters in the URL, such as "gid = 8" or "currency = 2", which do not mean much at first or at second glance.

What can our SEO module do?

Our WHMCS SEO module massively enhances WHMCS in terms of SEO. Now speaking URLs can be defined for the WHMCS products and the important META information can be given like:

  • Meta Description
  • Meta Title
  • Robots (INDEX, FOLLOW oder NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW).

The Canonical URLs are set automatically by our plugin as well as hreflang. And all of this, of course, multilangually.

Why are speaking URLs important?

The speaking URLs are standard with all current CMS today. Because the nice to look at URLs like "/ de / produkt1" are not only more understandable for humans, but also for the search engines. In addition, the language is passed as a session at WHMCS and does not appear as a GET parameter. Which leads to duplicate content being produced and the same URL existing in different languages. This means that the Canonical URLs are also not possible.

Why is hreflang important?

This parameter specifies in which languages the page is translated. As mentioned in the paragraph above, double content is avoided through translations.

META information, the basic building block for SEO

In addition to the URLs and H1 headings, the meta information such as, Description and Title are the foundation for search engine optimization. This information can be set for every URL in the system with our plugin. Of course, all META information can be set individually in each language. Thus the WHMCS is made fit for our search engines with our module.

Did we forget something? Robots and INDEX, FOLLOW

Of course, as SEO professionals, we also thought of the meta name = 'robots' information. These are needed to set trivial sites that should not appear in the Google index on NOINDEX. Our recommendation is to set the pages such as imprint or data protection to NOINDEX, FOLLOW. The pages themselves are not indexed by the bots, but the link juice is passed on.

And the competition? She doesn't sleep, but neither do we :)
