To build a well-structured page, you need to consider some criteria. The user likes to stay longer and more often on a website that is clear and functional. So you can build a top website with very simple rules. The website is a part of your company, which is like a virtual main entrance to you. For this reason a well structured site is very important.

#1 Home page

The home page, by and large, gives an overview of the entire website. Through the home page, one gets to know what the company offers for the services. With a simple button, the user can read through the website on a certain topic. For the user it should be interesting and well structured.

As already mentioned, it is important that the website is well structured and clearly laid out. Thus, these points should be considered.

#2 Header

The header area is what the user will see first. Make it clear what the user can find on this page. In the header area insert the H1 heading, which is easy to read. You can also include a text that briefly describes the page. With a designed header you make this area more interesting. Likewise, a button for a contact is recommended.

#3 Layout

After the header area, start filling the website with content. Instead of just putting the text one below the other. It is recommended here to build a clear structure, which you also take over with the further sides or arrange it so similarly.

#3.1 Font

Use headings, so that the user knows in which section it is about which content. But there should be no H1 heading except in the header area. So you can choose H2 for a subheading and use H3 for an under subheading. Pack only the most important things in the content so that the customer has all the information they need with little reading. It is also important to make sure that the font is not too small and not too big and the color is right, because it should be pleasant for the user to read through this.

#3.2 Images

With images and graphics you beautify your page, so add some images or even graphics. This is more pleasant for the user and thus can give a clear picture of your product/service. The images should definitely fit the theme which is about on the page. This is because it does the user no good if there are images on the page that have nothing to do with the product or service. Also, make sure that the page is not crammed with the content, but there is still enough white space on the page.

#3.3 Use widgets

To make a page not only well structured, but also more interesting from a design point of view, you can use widgets to wrap some content in icon boxes, icon listing or other. The plugin Elementor offers many free widgets for this purpose, which you can use for the website structure. So you have the content packed on the website and that too customized with the design. The user has fun reading and thus stays longer on your website.  

#3.4 Contact form

Every well structured website needs a contact form or button on every page where the user can reach the company. The contact form can always be placed at the bottom of the page with buttons in between pointing to the contact form. The contact form on each page is there so that users don't have to search for it to contact them.

Should you follow all these steps, you can easily create a well-structured and functional website. The user will stay longer on your website and this will show in the search engines, like Google.
